monday december 7th-
the day starts off with the moon in passionate, dramatic, independent leo. at 12:58am PST the moon goes void of course for 10 hours. the entire morning is in a moon void- which is a time to go within, center yourself, and listen. at 11:05am the moon shifts into humble, retiring, service-oriented virgo. the shift from leo to virgo is from fire to earth, masculine to feminine, self-focus to service for others. virgo moons are times to pay attention to the details, get things in order, and get them done right. they are also times to pay attention to mind/body wellness and take care of your health. be aware of the shadow side of virgo- the tendency to perfectionism and criticism that extends beyond yourself to others around you.
the first aspect of the day occurs at 1:12am when mercury newly in capricorn cojoins pluto, aligning the conscious mind and intellect with the lord of the underworld. conversation and communication gets deep, intense and powerful. beware of power/control dynamics in any communications you have today. channel that passion into communicating from a place of self-empowerment instead. any planet or luminary that aspects pluto is going to be aspecting saturn as well since saturn and pluto are in a square aspect with each other until next summer. later today mercury squares saturn, so the entire day is bringing conversation and communication that illuminates what structures need to be transformed in your life and where you growth lies. this can occur in business, finance, relationships, love, or on the inner levels in your masculine/feminine dynamics within. whatever it is you, today messages will be delivered so keep your ears open. this aspect occurs in the early morning hours so pay attention to your dreams for intense communication from your Soul.
12 hours later, at 1:10pm, we have one of the biggest aspects of the week. jupiter cojoins chiron in aquarius, aligning the planet of abundance and opportunity with the wounded healer. today is a HUGE day for healing emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and collectively. jupiter expands whatever he touches and the goal of chiron is awareness- so expanded awareness abounds! these two bodies, along with neptune, have been dancing together in the sky since late spring and have been bringing all of us an opportunity for spiritual awakening and healing on many levels. where it falls in your chart and what planets it aspects can help you understand what it means for you personally (check my weekly horoscopes for a brief overview or schedule a reading for an in-depth analysis). today these two cojoin for the last time as jupiter is going to speed out of aquarius and into pisces early next year. what you've been mulling over in terms of healing and releasing the past is supported in making a grand sweep and just doing it today and throughout this week. waking up takes work, but with jupiter and chiron today we have support from the heavens to do just that.
at 6:34pm mercury in capricorn squares saturn in libra, pitting the conscious mind and intellect against the task master planet of discipline, maturity and lessons learned. saturn likes structure and he likes to pare things down to only the essentials. conversation and communication had this evening is serious, solemn, and significant. pay attention to what is said and to what you say as it can and will have reverberating effects! early this morning mercury cojoined pluto, the celestial body that is square to saturn right now. paying attention to old patterns, structures, relationships, and ways of being that seem to be falling apart before your eyes behooves you now. what is old and no longer working needs to be transformed, released, or regenerated. talking about it with someone you trust helps.
at 11:24pm mercury in capricorn sesquiquadrates mars in leo, pitting the conscious mind and intellect against the conscious will and drive. mercury in capricorn is pragmatic, realistic, grounded and interested in the status quo. mars in leo is vivacious, passionate, dramatic and a tad narcissistic. we have the sign of the archetypal father in conflict with the sign of the rebellious hero. be conscious of your communication today as things can get fiesty and fiery! the best use of the energy is to channel your fire into communication that is inspiring and growth producing, rather than an all out battle.
tuesday december 8th-
the moon is in critical, orderly, perfectionist virgo all day long. there are no major aspects today, but the moon does square the sun and venus in sagittarius, pitting our contained emotional expression against our expansive, unrestrained ego-self and desires. the emotions and the unconscious wants to reign things in, but the ego and love nature wants to go all out. conflicts between inner and outer reality that occur today are mirroring a conflict within. finding a balance between the two is the goal.
wednesday december 9th-
the day starts off with the moon in shy, contained, perfectionist virgo and goes void of course at 2:04am for 12 hours. the moon void covers the entire morning and early afternoon. take time to go within and connect to Source. at 2:47pm the moon shifts into balanced, harmonious, relationship-oriented libra. the shift from virgo to libra is from earth to air, body to mind, service to relationship. libra moons are times to socialize and connect with others. relationships of all kinds are highlighted and finding common ground between parties is supported. be aware of the shadow side of libra- the tendency to over-compromise to the detriment of the self, as well as superficially connecting so as to avoid any intensity.
again there are no major aspects today but the moon in libra triggers the saturn/pluto square, bringing intense emotional material to the surface in relationships of all kinds. saturn in libra is teaching us valuable lessons about relationship, love, creativity and connection to the Divine Feminine within. pluto in capricorn is destroying, transforming and regenerating structures in our lives that no longer serve our highest good. the two in tense aspect are unearthing intensity and giving us all opportunities to do shadow work. with the moon aligned with saturn we may feel emotionally closed and in retreat, but pluto pushes us to unearth that which we are afraid to look at. finding a way to go into the shadow without getting lost in it is key. be kind to yourself today, as well as to others. we all are feeling this transit in some part of our chart- so we all are going through something right now! compassion gets you far.
thursday december 10th-
the moon is in sociable, feminine, graceful libra all day long.
the first aspect of the day occurs at 7:27am when mercury in capricorn semisquares chiron in aquarius, pitting the conscious mind and intellect against the wounded healer. conversation and communication that triggers your deep wounding can arise today and this can provide an opportunity to grow if you use wisdom in dealing with what comes up. mercury in capricorn is realistic and pragmatic and his focus on what he can see, touch, taste, smell or hear can at times be limited. there are other ways of knowing and if the mind only looks at the 3d world it can miss out on much. chiron in aquarius understands more than just the tangible and the "real". he understands oneness and the need for change. he is not interested in ruts and convention- he wants to move through the wounds of the collective and heal them. these two in tense aspect create the opportunity to do just that, but we have to move beyond getting triggered and automatically going on the defensive. push beyond your patterns of conditioning and see what else can arise. you might be surprised. and be aware of communication today. come from the heart when speaking. truth combined with compassion is the goal.
at 10:04am venus in sagittarius parallels the north node in capricorn and contraparallels the south node in cancer. the goddess of love and beauty is aligned with our path of growth and destiny and at odds with our karmic past. venus in sadge is fiercely independent, fun-loving and free. she takes responsibility for herself and her needs, even if she is not all that responsible for anyone else. the north node in capricorn demands just that. we need to step up and provide for ourselves that which we seek outside of us- financially, emotionally, spiritually and more. the south node in cancer asks that we leave behind patterns of unhealthy relationship to emotions, codependency and the need to have relationship dynamics that echo parent dynamics. we are not meant to be parents to our partners and friends- and neither are they meant to be that for us. we each need to integrate our own inner father and mother and become whole in and of ourselves. venus aligned with the nodes today gives us the opportunity to do just that. in relationships today take the high road and be sufficient unto yourself. from that space connection becomes a choice, not a desperate need.
at 2:07pm mercury in capricorn semisquares jupiter in aquarius, pitting the conscious mind and intellect against the planet of abundance and opportunity. jupiter has the tendency to expand whatever he touches, so be aware of overtalking and overthinking. attachment to convention and the past keeps you there. let jupiter expand your mind and change old thought-patterns. pay attention to conversation and communication had today as it can be illuminating in terms of where you are on your path and where you still have to grow.
the day ends with the sun in sagittarius trine to mars in leo, occurring at 5:18pm. the conscious self and ego is aligned with the conscious will and drive in the firey, spirited signs of sadge and leo. this makes for great energy and vitality- so channel it well and go after your goals with passion! just be aware that with all that fire you don't burn yourself out- or burn others! we each are special and we each can shine- so allow others the opportunity to do what you want to do, too. a great outlet for this aspect is intense sports- as it channels all that energy into something focused and productive.
friday december 11th-
the day starts off with the moon in relationship-focused, compromising libra and goes void of course at 9:45am. the moon void lasts nearly 12 hours, giving us the opportunity to go within and center ourselves throughout the day. moon voids are traditionally seen as times to not do anything of importance as they say nothing will come of it. but since the moon is an aspect of the Divine Feminine, who is not goal-oriented like the Divine Masculine, my experience is that moon voids are pregnant times of Divine Feminine energy where doing what she governs is supported. so going within, connecting to the feminine, meditating, etc... are all supported during the moon void. at 8:31pm the moon moves into intense, passionate, deep scorpio. the shift from libra to scorpio is from air to water, mind to soul, intellect to emotion. scorpio moons are times to connect deeply and passionately with others and with yourSelf. they are also times to channel your inner passion into something creative and cathartic. be aware of the shadow side of scorpio- addiction to power, fear of vulnerability, and inability to channel or harness your passion in healthy ways.
the only aspect today occurs at 6:37pm when mercury in capricorn semisquares neptune in aquarius. yesterday mercury aspected jupiter and chiron, and today he finishes off his conversation with the triple conjunction by aspecting neptune. neptune is spiritual and mystical in nature. he likes to dissolve things and is not interested in physical, material reality. mercury in capricorn couldn't be more physical and material. with these two in aspect conversation and communication can take on a distinctly spiritual undertone, but it can also get nebulous, deceptive and illusory- so make sure you are being honest and clear, and double check that others are, too. where your mind is not open to possibility, neptune will create a confusion about reality. a good use of this energy is to meditate and tap into the Source within. go with the flow and keep your mind open.
saturday december 12th-
the moon is in secretive, sexual, mysterious scorpio all day long.
the first aspect of the day occurs at 9:19am when jupiter in aquarius semisextiles uranus in pisces. the planet of opportunity and abundance harmoniously aspects the planet of change, awakening and enlightenment! this is a really positive aspect, and the other big one for this week (the other was jupiter/chiron on monday). uranus has been waking up the collective unconscious in powerful ways. dreams have been vivid and unconditional love is becoming more and more of a reality every day. jupiter is traveling with neptune and chiron bringing an opportunity for spiritual awakening and healing both personally and collectively. with jupiter aspecting uranus opportunity for change and bolt out of the blue occurrences that are for our highest good abound! stay on your toes and stay open :)
the only other aspect today is the sun in sagittarius semisextile the north node in capricorn and quincunx the south node in cancer, occurring at 11:25pm. the conscious self and ego is expansive, independent, and freedom-loving in sagittarius, which is in alignment with what the north node in capricorn is teaching us. our lessons right now are to take care of ourselves and provide ourselves the security and safety that we seek without. the sun in tense aspect to the south node in cancer can bring up opportunities where we may prefer to default to old habits of codependency and emotional immaturity, but we have the opportunity to choose differently. the sun can shine a light on where you hold yourself back from growth tonight. pay attention and make the necessary adjustments.
sunday december 13th-
the moon is in intense, passionate, mysterious scorpio all day long. at 5:18pm the moon goes void for 11 hours (into tomorrow morning).
the only major aspect today occurs 6:10pm when the sun in sagittarius sextiles chiron in aquarius, aligning the conscious self and ego with the wounded healer. opportunities for deep healing of the ego-self abound. the sun in sadge's ability to rise above and see things from a greater perspective helps him to move through any old wounding that is activated and creates an opportunity for true healing and release. connecting with other wounded healers tonight can be healing and fun as well! sadge is expansive and chiron is all about awareness- so expand your awareness of yourself and others tonight and let go of what holds you back from wholeness in this present moment.
