Former Mass-achusetts governor Mitt Romney (March 12, 1947) is expected to formally launch his presidential campaign this week, and then make the rounds to the early primary states North Carolina and New Hampshire. He joins top-tier Republican hopefuls Rudolph Giuliani (May 28, 1944; 11:52 am; New York, NY) and John McCain, and according to some pundits, is the GOP's best chance for keeping the White House.
However, from an astrological perspective, John McCain (August 29, 1936; 6:25 pm, Colon, Panama) seems the most likely to get the nomination in 2008. This conclusion is based on the theory that the winning candidate must have strong natal or progressed planets in aspect to the U.S. Moon. Without this vital link, a candidate just doesn't resonate with the American people or their security needs.
Neither Giuliani nor Romney has any natal or progressed planet in close aspect to the U.S. Moon, though both have compelling celestial dynamics that urge them forward. John McCain's natal Ceres at 25 degrees Scorpio is exactly square the U.S. Moon, while his Mars in Leo and near the U.S. Midheaven makes him a credible commander-in-chief, a quality Hillary Clinton will have trouble demonstrating.
More to the point, McCain's progressed Jupiter is now at 24 degrees Sagittarius, and by summer 2008 will have advanced to 25 degrees Sagittarius where it makes the vital link to the U.S. Moon. This aspect, unlike his 2004 venture, will bring him plenty of enthusiastic support, both in financial contributions and popular appeal. McCain will make a tough opponent in the national race.

NewsScope for October 13, 2008. Breaking news - a copy of John McCain's birth certificate has been found and gives a birth time of 6:25 pm. It looks official. The certificate was found by a conspiracy group attempting to prove that McCain was born outside of the proper U.S. territory (disqualifying him to run for president), and shows his birth place to be Colon, Panama instead of the Coco Solo Air Force Base.
The birth time looks accurate. His Virgo Sun is conjunct the Descen-dant, reflecting how much he's dependent on his partners, both personal and political. Uranus quincunx the Midheaven shows his reputation as a mav-erick. The Moon is now at 2º Aquarius near his twelfth house, and was activated by pro-gressed Mars when he was shot down and imprisoned on October 26, 1967.

he first married on July 3, 1965 when his progressed Midheaven was making an exact aspect to his natal Juno. He divorced and married his current wife in May 1980 as his progressed Midheaven was trine his seventh house Venus. His current situation doesn't look particularly favorable for winning the White House. Where did McCain's birth certificate come from?
The short answer is, it was posted at a website called johnmccain.dominates.us
The intent behind displaying his birth certificate -- which is in no way supported by neptunecafe -- is to show that he's not eligible to run for president, since he was born outside the proper U.S. borders.
Here's some quotes from that website:
"Attached is a copy of John McCain's actual birth Certificate showing he was born in Colon which is defined as not being part of the Panama Canal Zone along with Panama City. He was not born in Coco Solo which is a part of Canal Zone."
"Since John Sidney McCain III was born in the city of Colon, Republic of Panama (undisputedly sovereign territory of the Republic of Panama) he cannot be considered a natural born Citizen."
"Since he is not a natural born Citizen, he cannot serve as President of the United States."
A lawsuit was filed on behalf of this conspiracy group, and item IX introduces the birth certificate:
IX. Senator John McCain Is Native Born To the Republic of Panama. Defendants have chosen to bypass the authority of this Court to rule on the credibility of evidence, instead asking this Court to admit the opinion of a web log to which they have submitted a copy of McCain's birth certificate. However, plaintiff does recognize this Court's authority and hereby submits a copy of McCain's birth certificate (see attached), issued by the Panama Canal Health Department to this Court for review. This document was provided by Don Lamb, the legal representative of the Panama Railroad Company, which recorded McCain's birth . Don Lamb attests by affidavit (see attached) that the Panama Railroad Company recorded the live birth of John Sidney McCain III in the city of Colon, Panama.
